Monofilament lines

For more than forty years REIFENHÄUSER develops, projects and manufactures lines in Germany for production of monofilaments, strapping tapes and slit film tapes. Especially for these product groups was founded in 2001 with the REIMOTEC a sub company based in Ober-Abtsteinach near Heidelberg, which perpetuate this success story.

Artificial grass, bristles, tennis strings, fishing lines, long lines, mesh, technical textiles and many more are produced on monofilament lines of REIMOTEC.
In the field of technical fabrics, such as the filter technology, the trend towards ever finer yarn counts. Monofilaments of PET or PA with filament-diameter of 50-100 microns have been available for years, due to the low emissions performance of existing lines (around 1-3 kg per hour) very expensive.
In cause of the consequent further development, REIMOTEC-lines with standard equipment are having the ability to produce even the finest yarn count with a speed of 200 meter per minute.

The trend towards higher line speeds is in the concept "HIGHSPEED" for monofilaments implemented. Again, REIMOTEC sets new standards: with the development of a winder concept REIMOTEC lines are able to produce even the finest yarn titer at a speed of up to 900 meter per minute and hence to increase the output performance and at the same time reduce the production costs.

A product development to capture quality-related data inline completed the program: REIMOTEC offers a slub detection system especially for monofilament lines. This system is designed to be scanned up to 200 threats with more than 10.000 measurements per second and detects slubs.

The inline diameter monitoring of the monofilaments is difficult because the threads have a slight vibration. At conventional instruments that vibration leads to measurement errors.
For diameter monitoring REIMOTEC uses a system based on the latest CCD camera technology. This system has a resolution of 0.1 micrometer and measures with a repeatability of 0.5 micrometer. By an extremely short exposure time, in the range of microseconds, the influence of thread vibration can be minimized.

BiCo and TriCo technology

In the area of the multifilament is the use of BiCo technology almost standard. For monofilament applications this technology has not yet been enforced. Monofilaments will be in technical fibres much more stressed than multifilaments, so there have been only a few BiCo applications in the area of monofilaments.

Especially the combination of materials that are not compatible is interesting for the production of technical monofilaments.
Previously these composites are delaminating after stretching. REIMOTEC has a patented TriCo technology with a third layer is used as adhesive layer and can therefore be processed materials that are not compatible.
